The XVth session of Oxford International Model United Nations (OxIMUN) will be taking place from Friday 3rd November 2017 to Sunday 5th November 2017. Taking place at the oldest place of higher education in the English-speaking world, OxIMUN always provides an extremely high-quality MUN experience to all attendees. This year, we are provisionally expecting to welcome around 800 delegates and directors to possibly the most prestigious centre of intellectualism in the world. Our trademark small committee sizes and world-leading social events will ensure that you gain a great deal from attending. Our highly competitive director application process guarantees that all committees are chaired by some of the best possible people from across the globe. The combination of small committee sizes and extremely competent directors ensures that every attendee is able to contribute a great deal to the proceedings of the conference, to an extent that simply isn’t provided at almost all other intercollegiate MUN conferences.
Through having delegations from all continents of the world at each session, OxIMUN is one of the world’s most diverse intercollegiate MUN conferences of its size. We have committees for those of all abilities, and encourage all delegates to learn from each other to help maximise each attendee’s individual personal growth over the course of the long weekend. This year’s secretariat is determined to make OxIMUN 2017 the biggest, most enjoyable, and most rewarding session of OxIMUN yet. As one of Europe’s most prestigious intercollegiate MUN conferences, we are determined to ensure that this year; our conference’s reputation is not only upheld, but improved even further.
