The Secretariat and the Executive Board of the Conference take great pleasure in cordially inviting you to ElectroMUN’s 1st Edition scheduled for the 13th and 14th of June, 2020.

We are a group of students looking to promote the use of MUNs (Model United Nations) as an educational tool. MUNs is a simulation of the organs of the United Nations, an organization set up in 1945 to foster world peace. Today, it has a multifaceted role in handling economic, political, and social crises and conflict.

You can check out ElectroMUN’s page on Instagram here: @electro.mun

Our Committees and Agendas are as follows:

  • UNSC (United Nations Security Council) – Proxy wars and their implications on international peace and security with special emphasis on the Yemeni crisis (Registrations Open)
  • UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Commission) – Addressing the issue of sexual crimes against women (Registrations Closed)

  • SOCHUM (Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee)- Addressing Racism and Xenophobia with a special emphasis on its effects on refugees and asylum seekers (Registrations Open)

The competition would be testing the ability of participants to debate over matters of global importance in the positions of world leaders.
