Virtual Conference (to be held via Zoom)

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the Youth Online Universal Model United Nations (YOUMUN), a conference created to inspire you to follow your dreams, which shall take place virtually from the 27th to the 29th of August 2021.

YOUMUN was founded to encourage you to believe in yourself, despite all hardships you may encounter when striving to keep hold of your progress in achieving your aspirations. At the heart of our aims is the endeavor to convince you that the greatest abyss between where you stand and where you wish to be is the story you tell yourself of why you cannot achieve them.

As a need-blind event, the conference seeks to provide a more egalitarian educational experience for high school students from all the six inhabited continents in the world. By featuring a weekend of prolific and reasoned debate, lectures by specialists, workshops and much more, YOUMUN fosters youth protagonism, contributing to pupils’ positive character development and giving rise to more empathetic and discerning leaders of tomorrow.

Delegate registration will be open in early April. In the meantime, we would like to inform you that we are currently accepting applications for our Secretariat Team. For those interested, all candidates will have to complete a written application, followed by an interview, if they successfully make it to the second phase of the application process. The final deadline for Secretariat applications is Friday, March 19th at 11:59 pm UTC. Please note that Chair and Head Chair applications are also open and should be submitted by April 16th at 11:59 pm UTC. The application forms, as well as further information on the conference, can be found on our website

In all, we hope you can make the most from this experience, by exploring the world of diplomacy, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and creating cherished memories. In case you have any questions, feel free to contact us at See you all in August!
